Halloween
Can someone please fill me in on what's the protocol for Halloween? What if you're cheap and don't want to give candies to annoying little kids? If canides are the treat, what the hell is the trick? It's the first time I'll be facing Halloween from a house; ny advice and/or suggestions are appreciated and will be rewarded with a Thank You.

If you don't want to give out candy turn out the lights and act like no one is home. Its what we do at my house..only no one is home in reality.
The trick is whatever malicious behaviour children take it into their heads toperform when they know someone is home and they've been denied candy...as opposed to the canine model where they perform tricks to obtain treats...children apparently think being dressed up warrants getting a treat regardless.

If you don't put a pumpkin out, kids won't generally approach. The houses that give candy generally have lights blazing and a pumpkin with a candle in it.
